What information I collect

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. I may collect your name, email address, and phone number if you contact me or book an appointment. If you engage in [therapy / coaching / sessions], I also keep brief notes relating to our work together. I collect only the information necessary to provide the service safely and professionally.

How data is collected via this website

Appointments are booked through Proton Calendar, which hosts my booking page. It collects the name, email address, and any details you enter when booking, and holds them with zero-access encryption so that only I can read them.

Newsletter sign-ups are managed through Substack. Your email address is used only to send the newsletter, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. It is switched off by default: nothing is sent to Google unless you choose "Accept" on the banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, or simply ignore it, no analytics cookie is set and no request is made.

If you do accept, Google Analytics records the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, and how you arrived at the site. It is configured so that it cannot build an advertising profile of you, cannot follow you across devices, and is never used for advertising or marketing. It does not tell me who you are, and I never combine it with anything you tell me as a client.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser, which brings the banner back.

I do not use any other cookies or tracking technologies for advertising.

How your information is used

Your information is used to respond to enquiries, manage appointments, provide the service, and meet ethical and legal obligations. Your data is never sold or used for advertising.

Confidentiality

Everything you share with me is treated as confidential. My work is supported by confidential supervision or peer consultation, where identifying details are protected. Information would only be shared without your consent if there were a serious risk of harm to you or others, or if I were legally required to do so. Wherever possible, this would be discussed with you in advance.

How information is stored

Personal data that I collect from you via contact forms or meetings is kept in locked storage and/or password-protected documents and systems.

How long information is kept

[Therapy / session] records are retained securely for [X] years after the end of our work together and are then confidentially destroyed, in line with professional guidelines.

Data protection

I am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). If you wish to withdraw your consent to me using your data at any point, please let me know by email to [hello@cindienielsen.com].
